How do I delete my Nelo account?
You can delete your Nelo account from the app as long as you have no active loans: your balance must be $0.00.
Go to “Account”, open Settings, select “Security” and tap “Delete account”. Deletion is permanent: you cannot recover the account or create a new registration.
Steps to delete your account
- Open your Nelo app.
- Make sure you have no active loans: your balance must be $0.00.
- Select “Account”, at the bottom right of your screen.
- Tap the Settings icon at the top right.
- Select “Security” and tap “Delete account”.
- Confirm the action.
Before you do it, keep in mind
- Deletion is permanent: you cannot recover or reactivate your account.
- You cannot create a new account: only one registration per user is allowed.
What about my personal data?
You can request deletion of your data by writing to hola@nelo.mx or via WhatsApp, as long as you have no active loans. If you made transactions, Mexico's anti-money-laundering law (LFPIORPI) requires Nelo to keep your data for 5 years: it is blocked and then deleted. You can also exercise your ARCO rights (Access, Rectification, Cancellation and Opposition) at any time through hola@nelo.mx.
